We are pleased to have an excellent staff ratio.
We currently have 1:4 with children 2-5 years and 1:3 for 0-2
years.
We achieve a quality service by recruiting highly motivated, qualified
and experienced staff.
All our staff are fully qualified NVQ / N.N.E.B or equivalent
some also have additional childcare qualifications. They all hold
current First Aid Certificates, Child Protection and Basic Food
Hygiene Certificates. Our nursery is committed to the ongoing
professional training for all staff to ensure the highest standards
of care for your child.

2’s 1carer to 3 children
Over 2’s 1 carer to 4 children
Each
member of staff has responsibility for just a few children ensuring
that your child has an adult to relate to. Your child’s
key worker will plan his / her activities and curriculum which
will be tailored to their individual needs. The key worker will
work alongside parents, thus ensuring your child is supported
in reaching his / her full potential. Each key worker carries
out observations on your child, keeping an individual record of
your child’s progress, which they will be happy to discuss
with you at any time
We believe that you and your child are entitled to expect
courtesy and prompt attention to your needs and wishes. Our door
is always open and you will always be given a warm welcome and
can expect confidentiality on any discussion that takes place
about their child. The only exception to this is where there is
concern for the child’s welfare (see child protection).
Your input is very important to us and any new ideas, which could
improve our nursery are welcomed. We recognise that your life
skills, background and culture are a valuable resource to our
nursery and you are always welcome to attend part or all of a
nursery session and maybe share some of your experiences or skills.
To enable us to ensure the best care for your child please speak
to your child’s key worker or the manager about any changes
in your child’s home circumstances or any sickness. This
information will be kept in confidence.
